Description

Woodestic Tournament Crokinole Bronze Set The Woodestic Tournament Crokinole Bronze Set combines traditional gameplay with modern precision, offering a refined Crokinole experience for both competitive events and relaxed family gatherings. Handcrafted in Hungary and built to meet international tournament standards, every component of this set is designed for durability, style, and engaging play. This crokinole set transforms a classic dexterity game into a sophisticated contest of precision and strategy. The game challenges players to flick wooden discs onto a 78 cm diameter board with a treated, colored playing surface and a faux leather-covered rim. The design not only enhances gameplay but also adds a touch of customizable elegance to any room. Streamlined gameplay Crokinole is centered around the art of flicking discs toward a target area. The main objective is simple yet challenging: players alternately flick their discs into the center hole or the higher-scoring fields marked by concentric circles. Key elements of the gameplay include: Scoring: Center hole: A disc landing completely within the center hole immediately scores 20 points. Scoring fields: Discs resting in the inner, middle, or outer scoring areas earn 15, 10, or 5 points, respectively. Out of play: Any disc that leaves the designated playing area or remains on the shooting line scores 0 points. Free-shot rule: When the board is clear of opponent discs, a free-shot opportunity allows a player to aim directly for the center hole, securing an immediate score boost. Striking mechanism: If opponent discs are present on the board, the rules require that the shooting disc must strike at least one of them. Failure to make contact results in the removal of the shooting disc (and any allied discs involved in the shot) from play, adding a layer of tactical risk to every move. Victory: A round lasts until all discs have been played. Points are then tallied, and according to traditional scoring, a player or team must accumulate at least 100 points over one or more rounds to win the game. This concise summary highlights the essence of crokinole: a fast-paced battle where precision and strategic planning are paramount. Exquisite design and customizable features Crafted from premium birch plywood, the board in the Bronze Set boasts a color-treated surface that ensures each disc flick is smooth and consistent. With an approximate weight of 9 kg, the board provides excellent stability during rapid play, making it suitable for intense matches. Customization options Board finishes: The playing surface is available in three distinct finishes: walnut, beech, or cherry. This allows the board to complement various interior decors while showcasing artisanal craftsmanship. Leather rim colors: The faux leather-covered rim is offered in six sophisticated shades—crimson, amber, cognac, dark chocolate, ebony, and champagne—providing a customizable aesthetic that enhances both playability and visual appeal. Disc colors: Six vibrant disc colors ensure that each game is not only competitive but also visually striking. The variety aids in differentiating players during intense matches. Complete tournament-ready accessory set The Bronze Set comes as a comprehensive package designed to meet all tournament requirements and maintain the board: Tournament discs: Two embroidered bags contain 13 precision-cut tournament discs each, ensuring a consistent performance in every match. Gliss powder (90 g) and wax (30 ml): These materials optimize the glide of each disc, countering the microscopic roughness of both the discs and the playing surface for smooth, accurate shots. Scoring sheet: A 50-sheet scoring pad provides a convenient way to track points through every fast-paced round. Bumper rubbers: Included to maintain the board’s performance by ensuring that the bumpers function optimally during play. Hanging kit: This kit allows for secure storage or display of the board when it is not in use, preserving its condition over time. Rulebook: A comprehensive rulebook outlines the official Crokinole guidelines, ensuring that gameplay remains fair and consistent with international standards. Versatile Playing Modes The set is designed to accommodate a range of player configurations: Two-player mode: In a head-to-head match, each player receives 12 discs. The intense duel of skill and strategy makes every move count. Four-player mode: For team play, four players are divided into two opposing teams, with each teammate receiving six discs. This format encourages collaborative strategy and friendly rivalry. Additionally, rules for a three-player variant are available, further underlining the flexibility of crokinole as a game that caters to various group sizes and competitive scenarios.
